The 31st Mostra de Arte da Juventude (MAJ), held at Sesc Ribeirão Preto, presented a selection of young artists from different regions of Brazil, whose works traverse multiple languages and challenge ways of seeing, feeling, and inhabiting the world. The curatorial approach proposed unpredictability as its conceptual — a force that disrupts and reconfigures structures, opening space for chance, encounter, and listening as creative potentials. Moving through notions of water, transit, and permeability, the exhibition was constituted as a territory of experimentation, in which each work expanded in a tentacular manner, activating critical and sensorial relationships between body, time, and the institutional space.
A 31ª Mostra de Arte da Juventude (MAJ), realizada no Sesc Ribeirão Preto, apresentou uma seleção de jovens artistas de diferentes regiões do país, cujos trabalhos atravessam linguagens e tensionam modos de ver, sentir e habitar o mundo. A curadoria propôs o imprevisível como eixo conceitual — uma força que desorganiza e reconfigura estruturas, abrindo espaço para o acaso, o encontro e a escuta como potências de criação. Entre água, trânsito e permeabilidade, a mostra se constituiu como um território de experimentação, em que cada obra se expandia tentacularmente, ativando relações críticas e sensíveis entre corpo, tempo e espaço institucional.

3rd edition of Frestas - Arts Triennial / 3ª edição de Frestas - Trienal de Artes Assistant curator of the 3rd edition of Frestas - Arts Triennial "The River is a Serpent" at Sesc Sorocaba. 2019-2021.
The 3rd edition of Frestas proposed a reflection on movement, fluidity, and crossroads as forces that permeate artistic practices and modes of existence. Under the theme The River Is a Serpent, the triennial articulated collective and disobedient processes, expanding the boundaries of contemporary art through decolonial, spiritual, and community-based perspectives. The curatorial project took shape as a passage or crossing, in which time and experience intertwine through gestures of listening, improvisation, and contamination—reaffirming art as a field of resistance, care, and political invention.
A 3ª edição de Frestas propôs uma reflexão sobre o movimento, a fluidez e as encruzilhadas como forças que atravessam práticas artísticas e modos de existência. Sob o tema O rio é uma serpente, a trienal articulou processos coletivos e desobedientes, expandindo as fronteiras da arte contemporânea a partir de perspectivas decoloniais, espirituais e comunitárias. O projeto curatorial se configurou como uma travessia, onde o tempo e a experiência se enlaçam em gestos de escuta, improviso e contaminação — reafirmando a arte como campo de resistência, cuidado e invenção política.
